1 Session | All Levels | Price: $FREE
ARTZ1433 | Monday, September 8, 6 - 8pm

Do you have questions regarding how federal and state laws affect the creation, sale, exhibition, and protection of your art? This session focuses on a number of legal rights artists have in their work including copyrights and the Visual Artist's Rights Act. Using real cases as its basis, this session will illustrate some do's and don'ts for visual artists to consider as they create their work and decide whether to exhibit, sale, and/or offer them for collection.

Come for an informative discussion on the current state of art law in the US and the world with an art attorney whose client base includes Atlanta and New York, and all genres of art - painting, sculpture, animation, graphics, mixed media, film, and more. A briefing will begin the session for about 45 minutes, followed by 45 of your questions. Be ready to learn enough to be dangerous. Please bring a pen and paper. Handouts will be provided.
