Experimental Drawing unlocks the mind and sets the artist on a journey to true creativity. To explore the artists own personal mark making while expressing the sense of an object will be the goal of this class. Historical references to lead the student into modern art thinking relevant to current art trends. Basic color theory and 2-D design practices will be incorporated in the work along with an exploration of emotional values, abstracting images, shapes and patterns. Personal symbols represented with color and objects will be encouraged.
The environment will be relaxing and energetic at the same time. Warning! Modern Art practices using experimental drawing techniques is highly addictive and can lead to great creativity and an unblocking of the senses.
