Children’s Holiday Workshop Ages 5-7

Have your children join us for a fabulous workshop engaging your child’s creativity while enhancing their art skills. Your children will be introduced to art concepts such as value, proportion, contrasting colors and integrating these skills in creating their very own watercolor and oil pastel masterpiece. They will come away with one beautiful watercolor and oil pastel masterpiece to give to one of their favorite people for the holidays or to keep for their wall. It’s a class to learn from, create in and meet new friends! Sign up now as spaces are limited! Please remember to bring a sack lunch.

The drawing and painting workshop for the holiday’s fun is here for ages 8-11! We will meet the Master’s of Art History as though they were there with us. This is an opportunity to explore and nurture their creativity using a variety of mediums while completing a masterpiece for the holidays. Observing, studying and then create a painting which reflects what we have learned. If your child has attended a previous holiday workshop with the Instructor this will compliment what they have learned!

Instructor Bio
Rebecca Nagel has been teaching children of all ages for the past 6 years. Rebecca has taught at the Spruill Center for the Arts & Vanderlyn Elementary School both in Dunwoody, Ga. Her expertise is in working with children to release and nurture their creativity using a variety of mediums. Recently she was recognized by the Governor of the State of Georgia as a Georgia Exceptional Teacher. She has even taken the opportunity to use art with teenagers as a therapeutic tool and means for expressing their unique style and imagination! Needless to say, Rebecca’s passion is art! Rebecca holds a B.A. from Auburn University in Mass-Communications/Journalism, and has studied in Europe with the Art Institute of Atlanta. Her artwork has been featured in several films across the nation, earned awards, and been displayed at schools such as Agnes Scott College. She is in the process of publishing a book and producing and facilitating adult seminars on art as a powerful healing tool. Rebecca Nagel is a member of the National League of Pen Women, Inc. (NLAPW), the nation’s oldest organization for cretaive women, founded in 1897 to promote and conduct literary, educational and charitable activities in the fields of Art, Letters and Music.
